Korean solo artist Lee Hoseok, or better known by his stage name ‘Wonho’, toured the USA for the first time and it was a big success! His USA fanmeet tour is titled “Welcome Back, Wenee” and had 6 total stops ranging from New York all the way to his sold out show in Los Angeles. Not only did he perform during his tour, he even had performances at iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball Tour in four different states including: Florida, Texas, Michigan, and Illinois.

The night started on December 19th at The Regent Theater with a fan favorite, “Open Mind”, and then he proceeded to dive into “Ain’t About You.” His fans, also called ‘wenee’, erupted in an excited, roaring cheer as he took to the stage. They raised their lightsticks to show their support and sang along to the lyrics as if they themselves were performing. The unified voices filled the theater, making Wonho smile with pride.

American fans may not be familiar with the tour he was presenting which is called a ‘fan meet’ where korean artists don’t just sing and dance but they also interact with their fans by playing games, answering questions, or performing trending songs. After performing his first set, Wonho started on a Dance Challenge Medley that included songs by kpop artists like Taemin and Kiss of Life. Once the medley ended he asked the crowd which song he should perform again and the answers differed by location but LA chose “Guilty” by Taemin. This famous song includes a dance move that made the fans scream in delight.

As the night went on, Wenee’s continued to sing along and shout their love for Wonho. From high-energy songs to sweet, hushed medleys, Wonho's voice carried through the air and straight into the ears and hearts of wenees. But nothing could make the fans scream louder than their favorite artist taking off his shirt which is exactly what he did as he performed “Open Mind” again during the encore. And he didn’t just take off his shirt, he threw it into the crowd where one lucky fan quickly snatched it up.

To end the night Wonho serenaded wenees with a song dedicated to them called “Weneed” and it was during this song that a fan project took place. As the lyrics “ ‘cause we need each other, like stars and the night sky” exited Wonho’s mouth, fans lifted gold and silver stars, turning the audience into a galaxy of never ending love and support.

Los Angeles was the last performance for his tour which, as mentioned before, was completely sold out. If you missed out on this year’s tour you don’t have to worry, Wonho confirmed he was going to be returning in 2025 after he releases a new album. We’ll anticipate this comeback and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him!
